Brentwood Pharmacy: Your Trusted Neighborhood Pharmacy in Burnaby
How We Started Our Pharmacy
Having worked in various pharmacy settings, my partner and I saw how important personal relationships are in patient care. We noticed that many places lacked this personal touch, making patients feel like just another number. We found that patients not only need personalized attention but also do better when they have a trusted relationship with their healthcare providers. This understanding inspired us to start Brentwood Pharmacy in British Columbia.
Our mission is simple: to make your life better through genuine, personal care. Every person who walks through our doors has unique needs, and we're dedicated to building lasting relationships while providing the individualized attention you deserve. We believe that knowing our patients—their stories, their concerns, their families—leads to better care and better outcomes.
We're a Family, Helping Your Family
We're not just your run-of-the-mill drugstore—Brentwood Pharmacy is owned and run by a family, so we know how important it is to treat you like we'd treat our own loved ones. This makes us different from big chain pharmacies. When you come to us, you're not just a number. You're part of our community. We love getting to know our customers over the years. We remember birthdays and celebrate good times with you. Many of our patients bring us hand-written thank you notes. One of our patients even thanked us for saving her son's life by helping him overcome addiction through our services.

2. Specialized Compounding Services: We understand that standard medications don't always meet every individual's needs. That's where our compounding service shines! We specialize in creating custom medications tailored just for you, including topicals and other unique formulations. For example, we recently made a liquid version of a medication for a little boy who couldn't swallow pills, ensuring he received the care he needed in a form that worked for him.
3. Free Consultation: We get that taking care of your health can be overwhelming, and that’s why we’re here to help! We offer free consultations to talk about your medications, any side-effects you might experience, and how to manage long-term health issues. Our pharmacists are always ready to answer your questions and provide clear, easy-to-understand information.
4. Easy Medicine Packaging: If you take several medications, we can help keep you organized. We offer blister packs that sort your pills by day and time, making it easier to remember when to take each one. Many of our patients, like Mr. Singh, tell us this service has been a lifesaver in managing their daily routines.
4. Talk to Us from Home: We know life can get busy, and sometimes visiting the pharmacy or a doctor isn't possible. When a doctor's visit isn't available and going to the ER could take hours, our telehealth services offer a convenient alternative. You can consult with our pharmacists and connect with a healthcare provider over the phone or computer from the comfort of your home. It's an efficient way to get quick answers, prescriptions, or follow up on your health.
Here's a story from one of our pharmacists: Recently, we assisted a patient who was new to Canada and had run out of their thyroid medication. It was crucial for them to receive their medication on time. Through our telehealth services, we connected them with a healthcare provider who prescribed the necessary medication, and we fulfilled the prescription all within the same day, over the phone.
5. Vaccinations: We provide more than just flu shots! Our comprehensive vaccination services include travel vaccines, shingles vaccines, and more. Whether you're planning a trip to Mexico and are unsure about the necessary vaccinations, or simply want to stay up-to-date with the latest health recommendations, we are here to help ensure you and your family stay protected.
