Layla Akbari
Pharmacist & Co-Founder
A caring pharmacist with a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tehran, Layla's journey in healthcare began in 2000. After moving to Canada and becoming licensed in 2008, she noticed something was missing in traditional pharmacies – that warm, personal connection between pharmacists and their patients.
This inspired her to create Brentwood Pharmacy, where she treats every patient like family. Today, you'll find Layla greeting patients by name, remembering their stories, and going the extra mile to make everyone feel at home. When she's not caring for her pharmacy family, Layla loves making new friends and cherishing moments with her two wonderful sons and family.
ashkan Tahmasebi
Pharmacist & Co-Founder
Ashkan, a friendly face at Brentwood Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tehran. As co-founder, he brings a wealth of experience from every corner of pharmacy care – from helping patients with long-term care needs to supporting those with mental health challenges.
His journey through different healthcare settings taught him one important lesson: every patient deserves personalized attention and care. When he's not ensuring your prescriptions are perfect, you might find Ashkan enjoying a game of tennis, hitting the slopes for some skiing, casting a line while fishing, or excitedly talking about the latest tech gadgets – just ask him about any of these, and you'll see his eyes light up!
